Since March 8, 1911, the world has celebrated International Women’s Day. It is an opportunity to celebrate and reflect on the achievements of women in all sectors of our society and to plan new actions to achieve gender equality. The IOMP has always enthusiastically demonstrated the respect and appreciation for these women, especially in the world of science, where from the pioneers to the present day, scientists are breaking barriers, paradigms and prejudices.
The theme of International Women’s Day 2022, announced by UN Women, is “Gender Equality Today for a Sustainable Tomorrow”. This year’s primary mission is to advance gender equality in the time of climate crisis through women’s leadership.
In line with the universal trends, IOMP would like to present the team of women who will work in different positions of the Executive Committee of IOMP. For the first time, four women were elected for the next term. Therefore, we would like to present these women here.
