The COMP Winter School has done a lot to establish and motivate behavioural and cultural change with respect to how Quality and Safety tools and techniques are implemented in Radiation Oncology clinics across Canada. This year, we aim to make the transition from behavioural and cultural change to motivate and understand the benefits of automation in Radiation Oncology and its influence on personalized patient care. The overarching goals of the 2018 Winter School are: 1) to motivate the use of automation as a means of facilitating personalized patient care, 2) to understand what tools are currently available for auto-segmentation/auto-planning/auto-delivery and QA, 3) to discuss the future of automation in Rad Onc, and 4) to discuss some specific areas where automation can lead to improved personalized patient care.
